We are a small friendly club with a membership of approximately 30, encompassing a wide age range from 18 upwards, ensuring an informal and friendly club atmosphere where all are welcome.
Our meets programme consists of monthly weekend meets using climbing huts around climbing and mountain areas of England, Scotland and Wales. Members can then enjoy taking part in the many different aspects of mountaineering: walking, scrambling, rock climbing and winter climbing. In addition to this there is a monthly, sunday climbing meet at one of the Peak District crags.We also have members who informally climb midweek at either the nearby climbing walls (Creation, Redpoint, Wirksworth or Nottingham) or, weather and daylight permitting, evenings in the peak district are possible. Club members have previously organised summer trips to the Alps too.
The club is socially active also, meeting weekly at the Burton Bridge Inn. (Tues 21:00 on wards)

Non members are welcome to attend a maximum of 3 meets before being expected to join the club. If you are under 18 then the form must be signed by a parent or guardian and will only be allowed to attend club meets when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The clubs committee is elected annually at the AGM, which takes place in December. Committee meetings are held on a regular basis, so if there is anything you feel that the committee should be dealing with then please make one of the members aware and they will raise it for you at the next meeting.

His first year as Chair, Lewis’ main job is to keep this rabble in check! Lewis loves all forms of climbing.
Secretary - Roger Jackson
Everything a secretary needs to be, Roger loves nothing more than the great outdoors and is constantly in search of a classic ‘old gnarly route’.
Treasurer – Richard Baker
Accountant Richard is the best treasurer for the job! He enjoys climbing outside and walking.
Meets Leader – Sue Heeley
Long serving club member Sue has the challenge of booking huts to suit everyone. Sue is constantly in search of a nice cafe after a good walk.

Keen mountaineer Andy is the clubs website creator and editor.

Tor enjoys all forms of climbing but particularly enjoys multi-pitch climbs on a nice summer day.
